Онлайн-тренінг – “Public Speaking and Self-presenting for Researchers”, 12-13.10.2022 (Open for applications)

The aim of the training is to develop the skills of researchers in presenting their work in a public forum (lectures, seminars, conference presentations, etc.). During the training, participants will broaden their knowledge of the elements of effective self-presentation. They will learn how to design a professional speech and how to prepare a clear multimedia presentation. They will get to know how to formulate their statements to be better understood by the audience. They will also practice adopting the right posture and gestures to increase the power of their message. In addition, participants will learn how to deal with stage fright before and during the presentation. After completing the training, participants will be able to present their work more effectively in a public forum.

Training is free of charge but the number of places is limited. Please fill in the online application form in English. Deadline for application is Friday, October 07th.

The workshop will be organised on October 12-13, 2022, approximately 4 hours per day.

EXPERT

Agnieszka Bożek, PhD – psychologist, psychotherapist, personal and social skills trainer. A graduate of applied psychology at the Jagiellonian University and doctoral studies at the Institute of Psychology of the Jagiellonian University. She graduated from the 4-year School of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Krakow Psychodynamic Center, Advanced Trainings Training at the Psychological Laboratory of Elżbieta Sołtys and the Meritum Coaching School. She obtained the European Certificat in Psychology (EuroPsy) issued by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations. For over 12 years, she has been preparing and conducting workshops and trainings in the field of personal and social competences for educational institutions, non-governmental organizations and business. In the years 2015-2019 and in the winter semester 2020-21, she conducted classes for students at the Institute of Psychology of the Jagiellonian University, including foreign ones, and periodically also at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Katowice and at the Tischner University in Krakow. Since 2015, she has been cooperating with the Association for PhD Candidates and PhDs Career Development “PolDoc” and the Science Trainer company in the field of conducting workshops and training in psychosocial and didactic skills for universities and research institutes. As a researcher-practitioner, she specializes in the use of achievements in the field of positive psychology in practice, in particular to improve the quality of everyday life as well as the quality and comfort of work in organizations. Author of 15 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 48 expert articles in business magazines and online portals for professionals.
